Radio host Michael Savage banned in UK

U.K.’s Home Secretary Jacqui Smith releases list of banned from entering the country. List includes U.S. radio host Michael Savage for what Smith calls “fomenting hatred.”

Among others also barred are anti-gay protesters, Muslim preachers, and released Hezbollah terrorist (and child murderer) Samir Kuntar.

In defense of Savage, I occasionally listen to his show, and his show does not foment hatred. If it did, I would not listen. What elicits this response is the fact that Savage is the only major radio host that discusses the threat of Islamic terrorism. The mere discussion of Islamic terrorism causes concern in the Muslim community – who are moving towards eliminating all discussion of Islam (including terrorism). The response of the Muslims causes weak-kneed politicians like Smith – who also previously banned Geert Wilders – to react by removing the problem.

Media circulating inflated waterboarding statistics

The New York Times falsely reported that Shalid Sheikh Mohammed was waterboarded 183 times in one month. A U.S. official with knowledge of the program and the terrorists themselves put number of actual waterboardings as far less than what the Times reports.
